As I recall, the X850 is at the top of the list for cards that were available in a Mac version, although there are a few better performing cards that can be flashed.

What I especially love about them is the option for PCIe cards which opens the door for many upgrades (e.g. putting an Airport card from a more modern MacBook inside the G5 or repurposing old PC graphic cards to flash and use them in the G5).

The this me a need to get some Non ECC memory or can I bi-pass it some how. You can't bypass the memory issue; you need to have compatible RAM in the slots.
